What sales reports leave out.

Which departments do shoppers reach?

Aggregated sales can't show which areas of the store most trips never visit.

Where do they spend their time?

Time in front of a category is a signal of interest that the ticket never records, and in DIY and electronics the decision often takes several visits.

Do end caps and displays perform?

Each secondary touchpoint affects sales differently. Without measuring them one by one, weak ones stay in place.

Did the promotion create value?

Sales usually rise during a promotion. The question is whether it brought incremental visits and conversion.

When is the store busiest?

Advisers, checkouts and replenishment are planned on habit rather than on traffic by hour.

Departments and the racetrack

How far into the store each trip goes.

See how shoppers use the racetrack aisle, which departments they enter and which they only pass. Compare dwell between garden, tools, lighting or TV and audio, and find the areas most trips never reach.

Rank every end cap by what it actually does.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Which stores can use it?

Paths are captured with small Bluetooth tags on trolleys and baskets, located by ceiling antennas with sub-metre precision. It applies to stores where shoppers use them.

How long does installation take?

A store is usually live within hours, with only minor works. The devices do not interfere with existing electrical or network equipment, and installation can be planned outside opening hours.

Can traffic data help plan staff?

Yes. Power hours rank the hours of the week by the number of trips in store, so operations can schedule checkout lanes, advisers and replenishment around them.

Is it anonymous?

Yes. Shoppermotion tracks shopping tools, not people: no cameras, no apps and no personal data, with data encrypted and processed in line with GDPR.
