We tag trolleys and baskets, not people
Shoppermotion measures the trips of shopping tools through the store. No cameras, no apps and no faces are involved, so each visit is anonymous from the start.
No personal data in the analytics
Journeys are recorded passively and anonymously, from the entrance to the till. The platform works with trips, sections and times, not with identities.
GDPR compliant
Data is processed in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
Information is protected with current industry standards, both in communications and in storage. Location data travels encrypted with standard TLS.
Hosted in the European Union
Platform data is stored on infrastructure located in the EU.

- A Content Security Policy that only allows the scripts we use: our own code, the Cal.com booking calendar and Plausible.
- Cookieless, aggregated analytics with Plausible. No advertising or cross-site tracking.
- Forms protected against bots and abuse, with limits on submissions and file types.
- Third-party embeds, such as the webinar schedule, only load when you ask for them.

Does Shoppermotion use cameras or track shoppers' phones?
Not in stores. There, Shoppermotion tags trolleys and baskets, not people, with no cameras, no apps and no faces involved. In shopping malls, where visitors don't use trolleys, traffic is measured with cameras or presence sensors.
Is Shoppermotion GDPR compliant?
Yes. Each visit is anonymous by design, and data is processed in line with the GDPR.
Where is the data stored?
Platform data is stored on infrastructure located in the European Union, and it is encrypted in transit and at rest.
