Privacy Policy

This policy explains how we handle the personal data you share when you visit shoppermotion.com or contact us through it. It covers this website only. The in-store analytics platform works with anonymous data and is described on our Security and privacy page.

What data we collect and why

Demo requests and contact forms

When you request a demo, a free trial or information, we receive the details you type in the form: name, work email, company, phone, role, your message and any file you attach (for example store layouts). We use them only to reply to your request and to prepare a proposal. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries (GDPR art. 6.1.b and 6.1.f).

Blog and product news

Some forms include an optional box to subscribe to our blog or receive occasional product news. We only send them if you tick that box (consent, GDPR art. 6.1.a). You can unsubscribe at any time from any email or by writing to us.

Meeting bookings

When you book a meeting through our calendar, the booking tool collects your name, email and any notes you add, so we can hold the meeting. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before a possible contract (GDPR art. 6.1.b).

Job applications

If you apply for a job, we receive your name, email, the link to your CV or LinkedIn profile, your answers and, if you attach it, your cover letter. We use them to assess your application (GDPR art. 6.1.b). Please do not include sensitive data that we have not asked for.

Security logs

Our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address, browser and time of each request, to deliver the site and protect it against abuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure (GDPR art. 6.1.f).

Website analytics

We measure visits with Plausible Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. It only produces aggregated figures such as page views and referrers, so no one can be identified or tracked across sites.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries and bookings: while we are in contact and for up to two years after the last contact, unless you become a customer or ask us to delete them earlier.
• Job applications: until the selection process ends, and up to twelve months afterwards if you agree to be considered for future roles.
• Blog and product news: until you unsubscribe.
• Security logs: for the short period set by our hosting provider.

After that, data is deleted or kept blocked only for as long as the law requires.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising. We rely on these service providers, who process data on our behalf under a data processing agreement:

• DigitalOcean: website hosting, on servers in the European Union (Amsterdam).
• Resend: delivery of form submissions to our inbox.
• Cal.com: meeting bookings.
• Livestorm: webinar schedule and registrations.
• Plausible Analytics: cookieless, aggregated visit statistics.

Some of these providers are based in the United States. In those cases the transfer is covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We may also disclose data when required by law.

Cookies

This website does not set its own cookies and does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Three third-party tools may set their own cookies when you use them: the Cal.com booking calendar on the pages where it appears, the Livestorm webinar schedule, which only loads when you click to open it, and the YouTube videos on the Digital Flow page, which only load, from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain, when you press play. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• correct it if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
• delete it;
• restrict or object to its processing;
• receive it in a portable format;
• withdraw your consent, without affecting processing carried out before.

Write to hello@shoppermotion.com. Exercising your rights is free, and we reply within one month. If you think we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es) or to the authority in your country.

Children

This website is aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 14. If you believe a minor has sent us data, contact us and we will delete it.
